Special invitation for 1,000 less privileged children to attend the Charity Movie Preview
One Connect WeCare Movie Outing is a monthly movie screening initiative that provides a simple platform for Network companies to bring joy to 1,500 beneficiaries across 15 GRCs. Over the course of a year, a mix of new movies and all-time classics will be screened for the enjoyment of families and elderly, followed by engagement sessions where volunteers will spend time with the beneficiaries.
Bed bugs infestation is not uncommon in some of Singapore’s rental blocks. For affected residents, their quality of life will be greatly impacted, in particular the needy elderly residing in units in these rental blocks. In the first of such collaboration, Project We Care CEOs Network and the Central Singapore CDC are joining hands to pilot a Bed Bugs Programme to eradicate bed bugs in 300 rental units from the Central District.
Reaching out to 1,500 underprivileged elderly, families & children, the key objectives of the event are to provide a signature platform for our community of like-minded CEOs and their colleagues to walk the talk and take a lead to reach out to the underprivileged in the community.
This is the second year North West CDC is organising a fundraising concert, with the aim of raising $100,000 towards the North West Student Support Fund (SSF). The Fund provides educational-related assistance and support to needy students, such as community tuition, stationery/book vouchers, transport and meals allowance, and financial literacy workshops to encourage thrift and inculcate the habit of saving.
The objectives of the charity concert are:
